THE OLD CHANTRY
Opposite the house Olderman is a remarkable Westphalian half-timbered house situated. This is the old Kantorhaus (chanter house) whose predecessor was destroyed during the fire of Sylvester in 1804. Between 1806 and 1808 the estate was rebuilt, however, somewhat at the rear of the church square. In 1912 the famous physicist and later rector of the university Tübingen, Mr Gottfried Mollenstedt, was born here.
