MUSEUM OF LOCAL HISTORY

Located in the middle of Versmold’s industrial area - at Speckstraße - we find Versmold’s Museum of local history. Between the busy life and activity the museum appears. With apiary and carpentry, wheelwright and tailor's workshop, blacksmith and carriage house, a small cafe, the historic bake-house, a typical farmer's garden and the lovingly restored ‘Ravensberger Heuerlingskotten’ (small house) the museum is one of the cultural highlights of the city. The entire system was built by the members of the homeland association of Versmold who spent years on that voluntarily. With a variety of changing exhibitions and presentations on an annual basis the house attracts an audience of thousands.
